Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary is located in Wake Forest, North Carolina and was established in 1951. The Seminary seeks to acquire and apply the knowledge and skills necessary for Christian ministry. The school offers the master of divinity degree with several specializations as a first professional degree for Christian ministers. The seminary also offers several related master of arts programs. Postgraduate level work includes a professional doctorate in doctor of ministry and three advanced research degrees in master of theology, doctor of education and doctor of philosophy.
