Alfred University is a small, comprehensive university in the Village of Alfred in Western New York, United States. Founded in 1836, AU offers more than 60 academic programs offering a full range of programs in the liberal arts and sciences, art and design, engineering, business, education, and school psychology. These programs are offered at the university's 4 colleges and schools, namely, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, College of Business, Inamori School of Engineering and the Graduate School.
