Western Kentucky University was my Alma mater. WKU has technologically enhanced academic programs which enabled me to select my specialization according to my interest. My advice to future students is to not only look at the programs offered by the uni but also to read up a lot about the university and see if they have specialized courses to match your background. Talk to your seniors and get their feedback—extremely helpful in making a decision. I’d applied to 5 universities and got admits from 3 of them.

Applying to different universities is a tedious process. You send the same information to all the universities over and over again. You will have to give the usual exams like GRE, TOEFL, etc. A good score in your undergrads really helps. My score was 71.3%. Try to get a well written SOP and a few Recos from profs. My visa interview was a breeze-hardly took a minute!

I did not get an aid from the university.

WKU has a commitment to ensure value in a holistic learning experience through high standards for student achievement and conduct. The strong faculty at the university are top notch and really do bring out the best in you. Definitely value for money.

An MS helps one to continue research, jobs are also available…see that you pass out with high grades.
