Greetings unmet juniors! Here are some tips from my experience at UNT. Most of the postgraduate programs in the US especially the MS degrees are very research based. Developing a good understanding with your advisor is of paramount importance.

I had applied to 6 universities UNT, UTD, TAMU, Temple, Pittsburgh and UK. I was a little biased towards Texas because the weather in Texas is similar to India. I didn’t have a problem at the visa interview and the questions asked were very straightforward.

As mentioned before the MS program is a more of a research degree Most of the students who enroll on the MS program especially from India go onto to do their PhD. The research facilities at UN were good. The line of research at the University matched my line.

Jobs are not a problem from CS students in this day and age.
