I completed my MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee. I graduated in Summer 2006. The US has great research opportunities and the infrastructure which the institutions provide are par excellence.

My visa interview was very simple. The questions asked where – “Why I wanted to study in the US?; “ What my parents did?” ; How I was financing my studies?” & “What my education would bring me back in India?”. I used a lot of chat groups and forums to interact with other students before I went to the US. This helped me a lot.

I had a GTA at the ENGAGE (Engineering Fundamentals Program).

I greatly enjoyed my program My MS Research thesis topic was “Enhancing Reliability and Flexibility of a System-On-Chip using Reconfigurable logic”. I worked under Dr.DW Bouldin. I would recommend the University of Tennessee to any Indian student intending to study in the US.

I interned at DAFCA Inc. from June 2005-August 2005 and that was a great experience as well.
