I am happy with the overall experience. CRC can be better when we look at peer schools in 20-30 ranking range. But forthe money you pay (FULL SCHOLARSHIP AND $1000 a month of Assistanceship), it is a steal.

Once the univ admits, they issue and I-20 and on that basis you apply for F1 student visa. My seniors from school helped a lot. There was an incoming student forum that gave all information and school also had put up a lot of information on its website on legal issues with visas. You have to appear for GMAT and TOEFL. School has a range of 650-700 for GMAT. Work experience is very important and so is timing for applications. Round 1 is always preferred. I had a 680 with 5 years of work experience. Your last employer is very important. Essays have to be stellar and error free.

Great University town, affordable education and quality education are hallmarks at Terry. The b-school was founded in 1912 and Univ in 1785. So it is really an old institution. B-school has reduced the number of students per class to 40, so resources available per student are very high. Faculty is high class. When I say high class, it means CFO of Kodak, Chairman of FASB (Financial Accounting Stds Board), leading Economists are teaching MBAs. Class profile is diverse from lawyers, engineers and CNN/CNBC newsmakers to Deep Sea divers, Iraq war experienced US army officers and Finance whiz-kids. School is close to Atlanta. School has renowned Stanton Chase consultants, Leadership coaches and Alumni Mentors. Once I joined college we had a ropes course adventure and tons of exercises to get to know the class mates. We wrote our Eulogy and Team contracts. The class is divided into 10 teams of 4 with all diverse profiles and MBTI personalities. The teams work together for a year on all assignments.

I came early to look for housing. It is not recommended to do that as most of the places fill up really early. Follow your Indian Students Association advice but dont nag them to death on petty issues such as window sizes. We had welcome parties officially and unofficially.

All the seniors had their jobs by December. Salary range in relatively cheaper Atlanta region is around 75-90K. With this kind of money, you can live like a king/queen. H1B visas are becoming an issue, but every batch says that. Students work hard and they find a way out. Networking opportunities are aplenty at UGA-Terry.
