I would say it would not be bad idea to come over here as the place is cheap to live and tuition are also not that much but assistantships cannot be guaranteed.

I had to give GRE exam for getting admissions. I had preparedwith the help of coaching classes. I had used counseling services named Madhavi Desai and it helped me in giving me an idea about the things that are looked into while applying for US universities. I was issued a VISA and the VISA interview experience went very well. It was not difficult to get VISA. It was easy to get tickets as I had blocked the tickets for the USA very early so as to not have any last minute commotions. I booked Continental Airlines and it was pretty nice. I was charged on a student fare basis. I landed in Oklahoma International Airport and it is 45 minutes away from the institution. The baggage rules were like I can carry two 22 Kg bags and one 18 Kg carry on bag. I was not allowed any excess baggage and I did not have to face any immigration problems at the Port Of Entry as I had all the required documents with me .There was Meet and Greet service at the airport and it was really helpful.

I am happy with the way my program is structured. My professors are really novel in their approach and make studies look a lot more interesting. My library is really good and go there for my studies as well during the exam times as the atmosphere there is really nice for studies.

I currently live off campus as on campus costs us a lots of money with my roommates. It is not hard at all to get hold of part time jobs here as international students are the only ones most times applying for it. The social scene is really nice with good parties going around most times.

There are career fairs that keeps going on but many people have to apply in their own to get a job. However the alumni is strong and helpful and in getting through the interview round beyond which one has to make it on it own.
