The Biomedical Sciences department at the University of Connecticut is very strong. They are engaged in some path breaking research. Since Bio medical sciences was my chosen field for grad studies when I applied – this university was a natural choice. The decision in the proved to be a good one and it has been a very fulfilling experience for me.

As far as the application process was concerned I had to give my usual GRE and TOEFL exams. I also had relevant work experience and this helped in my application. My visa interview was smooth – no out of the ordinary questions.

This field always has job opportunities. It is just that finding the right employer s a bit tough as there is very high degree of specialization involved.
