Worth coming to SCU. I would advise students not to do MS from any other university. Especially now. Aim at only top 20-30.

I went through GRE exam with just over 15 day preparation to qualify for this university. TOEFL was not required, F1 visa was obviously required. I flew by Singapore Airlines, no student fare was given. I landed in San Francisco Airport. SCU is 40 miles from SFO airport. Baggage rule is 23x2 + cabin 8-10 kg plus a laptop bag. Excess baggage of 2-3 Kgs is sometimes allowed for students. No immigrations problems. My friend came to receive me on airport.

I have not received any scholarships/assistantships. Currently, it is very difficult to get scholarships.

I stay outside. Students can’t afford on-campus apartments. The campus is very good. All amenities are provided. This is a beautiful place to live in. I am an active member of a student community called Swades. We organize cultural fests, outings etc.

We have a placement cell. There are many Job Fair, campus placements. Also many organizations attend the fairs. Few of the companies which have been quite active on our campus are - Cisco, EMC, Yahoo, many big brands come for placements. Alumni network is there but not so active. It is very difficult now.
