My program module was pretty well structured and I was happy, but it is critical that you understand your subjects well and chose your credits according to your strong points.

Visa interview was smooth, as long as all documents (financial & educational) required are handed over. I did not write any exams as part of my admission process. I did not attend coaching classes or get the help of educational counselors. I got the tickets from Mauritius, flew British Airways. No complaints regarding the flight, though it offered a student fare, I dont recall the amount. I landed at Miami International Airport, which is 45 min from the institution. We were allowed 2 Suitcases, 28 kg per suitcase, I didnt need to take any excess baggage. No immigration issues faced, I didnt need meet and greet as I was taken care by family I was residing at.

I know there are assistantships and scholarships offered but I don’t know which ones.

Iam happy with the my program and all the subjects. The professors were very helpful & courteous. Lecture halls and libraries were good.

I Resided with family. There were no sports centers as such. I am not sure about part time jobs, I wasnt working nor did bother to check out. The social scene in the city is absolutely brilliant and very nice place to be. The night life is great & lively. It is very warm in summers, very pleasant in winters. There is no Indian student society here.

There is a placement cell at the university. Its not easy for international students to get jobs and also the documentation is very lengthy and time consuming. There a campus placement process and many MNC Orgs and big 3 attend these fairs. One has to go to the career fairs and get oneself registered or send the CV. It is not easy to get the work permit, as such, it is quite a long and time consuming one. There is an active alumni society, regarding its help with placements, its not Per Say but you may get references.
