The Importance of Being Earnest,Harry Potter,Educate Terry,Osacar Wilde等,学会了了解影片背后的时代背景。我在英国进修期间看了大约四十几部经典大片。将来我会引导我的学生欣赏英美大片,英语本身就是一门工具,英语教学的最终目的就是语用能力。何乐而不为呢!?

I did my engineering in BMS College Bangalore and now I am going in for my MBA in the US. I also got an admit from Univ...ersity of Minnesota, but of course my mind was already made up on UC Davis. I am interested to pursue marketing and conduct research and this is the best choice for that.I had gone to an MBA fair and there I met representatives from UC Davis, I got firsthand experience about the place and the course modules, etc. I think this went a long way in my selection of the university. I also contacted my seniors who are currently studying there and got good vibes from them. I consulted Jambooree Educational Consultants, they were very helpful in the essay writing part and in the general admission stuff, the GMAT coaching was also pretty good. But where the admission for UC Davis was concerned, I did it entirely on my own. So a consulting centre is not a must to succeed, I know guys who have scored as much as I have even without the help of consultants.UC Davis is in the Tech Sector or the Silicon Valley coast, the location of the university is great, because the opportunities open to one are enormous.

They provide a very high quality education because the intake of students is limited. The professors are well experienc...ed and have good academic record. Many people recommended this and these are the reasons why I have decided on this particular university. The Admission team was excellent and there were few Indians in the team. The team assisted me with all the queries related to my tuition fee, Accommodation and part time jobs as well. I had few mail communications with the professors regarding the course line clarifications and everything was good and useful. They are really friendly and helpful. Many job streams are available to me like Networking, Embedded systems, Mechatronics and I will decide on anything I want after my graduation. I am sure I will have a good and long lasting career for myself.

I recently graduated from the University of California, Davis with a bachelor's of science degree in Clinical Nutrition.... My experience over the last four years has been nothing less than exceptional. My parents have been my sole strength and had guided me through the admission process. The selection process was not stringent but definitely competitive. The application process was self explanatory and very fair and thorough. The Visa process was also very smooth. One key thing to remember is to follow all the procedures as stated. Failing to meet requirements can impede either the selection or the visa process. One area that I feel needs improvement would be the financial aspect of affording such an education. It is important for institutions both in India and in the US to provide more opportunities for financial resources and assistance. Yes, there were scholarships and funding opportunities available. Some but not all universities offer scholarships and funding. One advice would be to perform thorough research on all available options. My most important piece of advice would be to encourage yourself to imbibe every aspect of the education they offer and to cultivate yourself to be a well rounded individual with diverse experiences both academically and individually. An essential part of success at US universities is to enroll in courses and activities outside of your major and required coursework, especially at the undergraduate level. It is also beneficial to make use of all the resources for students on campus. One thing that I enjoyed the most while also building my resume was to participate in various student clubs, organizations, community service, and university and department activities. This not only strengthened my profile but also provided me with learning experiences that in turn cultivated my personality and made me the person that I am today. Through my studies in the US, I have grown and matured academically and personally. The academic and social environment of US universities is so complete that it is only growing from strength to strength. They provide a holistic education with a strong emphasis on practical learning and critical thinking skills which effectively prepares you to undertake work and projects in any field. Socially, with a vast diaspora of individuals, cultures and personalities, the environment encourages one to network well with people from all walks of life. This, I believe proves to be essential and has definitely made me a people's person. I am preparing myself to move on and pursue my Masters Degree at Tufts University, I can only feel excited and motivated to continue this journey with the confidence of seeing it blossom further.

Initially it seemed like Davis wasn't the place for me because I've always been a city girl and small towns are not for... me. But when I came to Davis, I fell in love with nice little town and I am glad I chose to come here. It is a perfect change from the fast pace life of the city because you get to experience so many things that you will never see in a big city. As far as academic advice, I'd say go and discuss your four year plan with a counselor as soon as you start your freshman year, because Davis has so much to offer that unless you talk to a counselor you may not be able to take full advantage of all the various disciplines that are part of the university. And by the time you figure out that you should've double majored in something, it may be too late! Being a Design major I double majored in Business and Marketing, while also taking some Media and Cultural studies classes on the side.Out of all the UCs, Davis is in the same league as UCLA and UC Berkeley, so it is a little challenging, but that is what makes Davis competitive. Upon coming here, you will find that your peers are very hard working and well-rounded individuals. I am not an international student, so my process was slightly different, but I do have a lot of friends that were international students and all of them chose an academic counselor in their home country who helped them with their application essays and the visa process. So find a good counselor in whatever city you are from, and they will assist you every step of the way.Because Davis is a very impacted public university, there funds for grants per student tend to be small. But there are a lot of scholarships that one can apply for. There is a center for International students on campus, so once you come here you can get assistance from them because they know about all the scholarship opportunities available for International students. The greatest thing about any major at UC Davis is the faculty. Because we are a research university, our professors are very proactive about student involvement in projects outside the classroom. They offer many opportunities for hands on learning too. The curriculum is rigorous because we are on the quarter system, but I think it helps prepare us to work well under the pressure of tight deadlines.Like I mentioned earlier, Davis has a wonderful small-town feel. Downtown Davis is full of small stores and cafes and local restaurants. You will find yourself far away from any chain-clothing stores, instead, you can enjoy shopping in small boutiques. Local people are extremely friendly. Davis has pretty reasonable rent prices for students (you can choose from a wide range of apartment complexes). Freshman are guaranteed residence in the dorms. Our student run coffee house in the Memorial Union is AMAZING! And we have a student run bus system that makes it easy to get to campus if you don't like to bike. In the quad, you will always find a great number of clubs and societies tabling for new members and they are very eager to give you more information.Definitely! UC Davis is a very well reputed school and companies value a degree from this university. The Internship and Career Center hosts many job fairs and the CAAA (California Aggie Alumni Association) is an extremely useful resource too. I am still a senior, so I am in the process of applying for jobs, but I do have a few leads after attending the job fair last month.
